I’m a hobby woodworker building toward retirement, and woodworking is something I came to because I enjoy making things with my hands and learning along the way. I like taking a pile of rough or overlooked wood and turning it into something useful — furniture, small projects, and the occasional turned piece.

I’m not a professional or an expert, and I don’t try to be. I make mistakes, experiment with new techniques, and learn as I go. Over time, I’ve found that how you deal with mistakes matters more than avoiding them altogether. Woodworking, for me, is as much about patience and problem‑solving as it is about the finished piece.

This website documents that approach. You’ll find projects from the shop, lessons learned along the way, and reflections on process, materials, and working at a thoughtful pace. I focus on building things meant to be used and enjoyed, not chasing trends or mass production.

From time to time, I have pieces available for purchase, and I occasionally take on custom projects when my schedule allows. I build selectively so each piece gets the time and attention it deserves.
